SPANGENBURG, William, aged eighty-four years, of Hamburg, died Monday at Alexander Linn Hospital, Sussex. For the past ten years he had lived in Hamburg with his son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Lewis TILLISON. Besides his daughter, Mrs. Phoebe TILLISON, he leaves three grandchildren, Everett TILLISON, of Plattsburg, N. Y.; Mrs. Margaret CLOUSE, of near Sussex; Allan TILLISON, of Franklin, and also eight grt-grch. Funeral: ROBINSON's Funeral Home, Hamburg. Burial: North Church Cemetery.

SPARGO, Abram, Sr. (from our Branchville Correspondent) After a short illness, Abram Sparo, Srl, died at his home on Cyhruch Street, Weds. moringin, Dec 20th, aged seventy-one years. The deceased had always lived in and about Branchville. He was a verteran of the Civil War and served in Co. I of the Seventh N. J. V. He had alwys been a hard working, industrious man, well thought of by his neighbors and friends. His wife died about two years ago. He is survived by one daughter, Maggie, wife of sheriff J. K. Gunn, of Newton, and by two sisters, Sarah, wife of James Decker, and Susan, wife of Henry Campbell, of Branchivlle. Funeral: M. E. Church, Rev. Edward Eells officiating. Burial: Branchville Cemetery.

SPARGO - ALBANY (GA) The funeral service of Benjamin Spargo, 89, Leary, GA, who died Saturday, June 21, 2008 will be conducted Tuesday at Mathews Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Crown Hill Cemetery.
A native of Sussex, NJ, born to Benjamin Frank and Frances Spargo, Mr. Spargo moved to Albany in 1940 and had lived in Leary for the past 18 years. Survivors include his wife, June Farrow Spargo of Leary, GA; four sons, Ben Spargo, Jr. and his wife, Joy, Jimmy Spargo and his wife, Debra, and Bobby Spargo and his wife, Elizabeth and Frank Spargo, all of Albany, GA; a daughter, Linda Smith of Leesburg, GA; four stepsons and their wives, Danny and Marie Farrow of Cobb, GA, Jerry and Patricia Farrow of Ft. Gaines, GA, Ricky and Betty Farrow of Albany, GA and Barry and Karen Farrow of Leesburg, GA; 17 grandchildren, 11 step- grandchildren, 47 great- grandchildren and 10 step-great- grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Lorraine Spargo; a stepson, Timmy Farrow; a grandson, Jack Spargo; and a step-granddaughter, Lisa Reynolds. The family is at the residence of Barry and Karen Farrow, Leesburg, GA, 31763.

SPARGO, Mrs. Lydia Owens, wife of James SPARGO, died Weds. at son, Benjamin's, home near Woodburne aged 83. She was daughter of Mr. and Mrs David OWENS and married first to Samuel PERRY after his death she married James SPARGO who died several years ago. Survived by three children of first marriage: Jennie, wife of Zera E. SMITH and Etta, wife of Alanson MAXWELL of Wantage; Samuel PERRY of Sussex and one son, Benjamin SPARGO of Wantage. Also by a sister, Mrs. Arthur DEWITT of California; and brother, Coe OWENS, of Pine City, NY. Mrs Louis BENJAMIN who died three years ago was a sister to her. Burial: Fairview cemetery.
