RANDOLPH, Mrs. Harriet VanGelder, wife of John R. RANDOLPH, died at her home near Unionville Wednesday, after forty years. She was a daughter of Grenelle VANGELDER and her mother’s maiden name was ROE. Mrs. Randolph was born on the farm where she died. Those surviving her are her husband and three children, Judson F., Jr., Charles and John R. Jr. Funeral At the home Saturday, conducted by Rev. J. MacInnes, of the Unionville Presbyterian Church. Interment: Papakating Cemetery.

REYNOLDS, Mrs. Mary Elizabeth HURD, oldest resident of Newark, died on June 2nd at the home of her son-in-law , James Mawha, after a short illness. She was 104. Mrs. Reynolds had lived in Newark more than 75 years. She celebrated her 104th birthday on April 12th. She was born in Sparta, April 12, 1833, the daughter of Isaac and Jane Pitney HURD. Surviving are three grandchildren and six great- grandchildren.

RIGGS, William D., died suddenly near home on Newark Avenue in Bloomfield on Saturday aged 61. Born near McAfee and resided near Newton for many years. Survived by wife and son, Lewis, at home and by a sister, Mrs. Theodore DREW in Vernon. Funeral at the home of wife's aunt, Mrs. John ILIFF in Newton.

She was a daughter of John J. and Sarah BROSS ROE and was born at Ridgebury, N. Y. She is survived by the following nephew and nieces: Mrs. Laura E. WILSON and Mrs. Alice WILSON of Sussex; Mrs. George KIMBLE of Middletown; Otis HAVENS, of near Sussex, and John G. GARRISON, of Sussex. Funeral services will be held at the home of Mrs. Alice Wilson Friday, Rev. James Bristow, of Warwick, will officiate. Burial will be in Papakating Cemetery.

ROE, Jacob D. died at his home in Paterson last Saturday, aged about eighty years. He was born in Vernon township, a son of the late John J. and Sarah A. (Bross) ROE. He married Miss Sarah SHORTER and they lived many years in Deckertown. She survives him, with two children: Laura, wife of George S. HALL of near town, and John ROE, in the West. ROLISON, David of Hamburg, died Friday, 1 Feb in his 78th yr. Wife was Alice LEWIS, dau/o Mr. and Mrs. T. L. LEWIS and a sister of Mrs. D. H. LONGCOR of Tranquility. At the time of his death both his wife and his son, Frank were seriously ill (flu). Mr. Rolison's sister, Mrs., Mary PADDOCK passed away Sunday. RUTAN - Unionville - Mrs. Mattie Rutan, the widow of E. C. Rutan, died at her home near town Monday morning, aged 63 years. She is survived by three children; Laura, wife of Allen Winters of Unionville; Pearl and Frank at home; also by one sister, Mrs. Lottie BABCOCK, of Unionville. Funeral services were held at the house on Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock, conducted by Rev. F. B. Schoonover. Interment was in the Unionville Cemetery.
